The key players here are coconut oil, which gives that rich mouthfeel, and heavy cream, which adds a creamy touch. - Coconut Oil: ¼ cup / 60ml, melted and cooled. This is the star ingredient that adds healthy fats and a rich texture.
- Heavy Cream: ¼ cup / 60ml, at room temperature. It enhances the creaminess of the fat bombs.
- Cacao Powder: 2 to 3 tablespoons. This provides the chocolaty flavor that makes these fat bombs irresistible.
- Almond Butter: 3 tablespoons. A great source of protein and flavor, it complements the other ingredients well.
- Stevia: 4 drops, or allulose. A natural sweetener to balance the flavors.
- Cinnamon: 1 teaspoon, optional. This adds warmth and depth to the overall taste.
- Cacao Nibs or Chopped Nuts: 1 tablespoon, optional for decoration. They add texture and crunch.
Step by Step Guide for Cocoa Fat Bombs

Making Cocoa Fat Bombs is a wonderful process that anyone can enjoy. Let’s dive into the steps and create these tasty treats together. You’ll be whipping them up in no time!
Start by melting the coconut oil. You can do this in a pan over low heat or in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Just look for it to become completely liquid. Be careful not to overheat it as you want it just melted, not hot.
Once the coconut oil is melted, remove it from the heat and let it cool for a minute. Then, add in the heavy cream and mix well until fully combined. The creamy texture should start to come through.
Now, it’s time to incorporate the cacao powder. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons based on how rich you want the chocolate flavor. Whisk it all together until smooth and there are no lumps remaining.
Next, blend in the almond butter until everything is well combined. You should see a beautiful, glossy mixture forming as you stir. This step is crucial for achieving that rich mouthfeel.
Now, add the stevia or allulose for sweetness, adjusting to taste, and mix again until everything is perfectly blended. You might want to do a quick taste test to ensure it’s just right for you!
If you’re using cinnamon, sprinkle it in now. This is optional, but it can add an incredible warmth to the flavor profile.
Prepare your molds or an ice cube tray by ensuring they are clean and dry. If you don’t have silicone molds, you can line a tray with parchment paper to easily remove the fat bombs later.
Pour the mixture into your molds, filling them about three-quarters full. Carefully tap the tray on the counter to remove any air bubbles that may be trapped inside.
Place your molds in the freezer for about 10 minutes, just until the tops are set. This will make it easier for you to add toppings.
Once the top layer is set, sprinkle with cacao nibs or chopped nuts, if using. This will give your Cocoa Fat Bombs a delightful crunch.
Return the molds to the freezer until the fat bombs are completely set, which will take about 30 minutes. You want them to be firm and solid.
Finally, gently press out the fat bombs from the molds. If using a tray, lift the parchment paper and cut into small squares. Store them in the fridge or freezer, and enjoy your delicious creations!
Things Worth Knowing

- Be Patient: Let the Cocoa Fat Bombs sit in the freezer long enough. Rushing this step may result in a soft texture.
