Ingredients
  

  • 1 can refried beans
  • 1 can diced green chiles undrained
  • 1 container fresh guacamole
  • 1 container sour cream
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 can corn drained
  • 1 package finely shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 pint grape tomatoes
  • 1 can sliced olives drained

Equipment

  • 9×13-inch Baking Dish

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, combine refried beans and diced green chiles. Spread in bottom of a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. Gently spread fresh guacamole on top of refried beans.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together sour cream and taco seasoning. Spread over guacamole.
  4. Sprinkle drained corn kernels over sour cream.
  5. Spread shredded Mexican cheese over corn.
  6. Chop green onions and arrange in a rectangle in the top left corner of the pan.
  7. Top green onions with sliced olives.
  8. Chop the grape tomatoes and arrange in rows on over the cheese to form the stripes of the flag.

Notes

  • Tip 1: Can make a few days in advance and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Tip 2: Can substitute plain Greek yogurt for sour cream.
  • Tip 3: Can add ground beef, chicken, onions, green bell peppers, salsa, lettuce, rice, black beans – anything you wish.
  • Tip 4: Can just layer ingredients in order listed without making flag design on top.
