Ingredients
  

  • 2 to 2 1/2 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400ºF with a rack in the center.
  2. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil or parchment paper, trimming it as needed.
  3. In a bowl, combine the chicken thighs with olive oil, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix to coat.
  4. Pour half of the BBQ sauce over the chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  5. Arrange the chicken on a baking sheet with the smooth side down.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then flip and brush with the remaining BBQ sauce, cooking for another 10 minutes.
  7. Set the oven to broil for an additional 3 to 5 minutes to caramelize the sauce.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve with additional BBQ sauce if desired.
