Cook the pasta per the package directions.
While the pasta is cooking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the blackened chicken and cook on each side for 1 to 2 minutes until heated through. Remove from skillet, slice the chicken, and set aside.
In the skillet, heat the butter and pressed garlic until it begins to bubble and becomes fragrant.
Add the cream, cream cheese, parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and whisk until smooth.
Turn the heat to medium high and continue to heat stirring occasionally until it begins to rapidly boil, and allow to boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Then remove from heat. Sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
Assemble by tossing pasta with alfredo sauce then top with sliced chicken.
