Ingredients

  • 1 tube Crescent Dough Sheet This serves as the flaky crust base.
  • ½ cup granulated sugar Adds sweetness to the filling.
  • ½ cup light or dark corn syrup Gives the bars their gooey texture.
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter Enhances the flavor of the filling.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla Brings a lovely aroma and flavor.
  • 1 large egg Binds the filling together.

  • cup mini chocolate chips Adds a hint of chocolatey goodness.

Equipment

  • 9×13-inch Baking Dish

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough sheet and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pushing it up the sides slightly to form a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for about 5 minutes until it’s just set but not browned.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla, and the egg until well combined.
  5. Next, stir in the chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the mixture.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture evenly on top of the crescent dough crust, spreading it out gently.
  7. Bake for another 18 to 22 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges are golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars and serving. Enjoy your Crescent Pecan Pie Bars!
