Ingredients

  • 4 medium roma tomatoes
  • 1 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 medium red onion
  • 1 medium jalapeño pepper
  • 1/3 cup fresh cilantro
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Equipment

  • Cutting Board
  • Food Processor

Method

  1. Cut roma tomatoes in half. In a food processor, add roma tomatoes, diced tomatoes with juice, red onion, jalapeño pepper, cilantro, garlic, lime juice, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Pulse all the ingredients together until they are combined and the salsa is the texture you like it. Pulse more for a smoother salsa, less for a more chunky salsa.
  3. Taste the salsa and add more spices, salt, and pepper if you like. Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
  4. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

Store your salsa in an airtight container in the fridge for maximum freshness. You can also freeze it for up to three months.
