Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ to 2 pounds pounds fresh green beans
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil double the amount to replace with fresh basil
  • 1 cup whole or halved cherry or grape tomatoes

Method
 

  1. Cook green beans in salted water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large saute pan, melt the butter, then stir in the sugar, garlic powder, salt, pepper and basil.
  3. Add the tomatoes and cook until soft.
  4. Add the green beans and toss gently. Serve while hot.
