Ingredients

  • 4 links Italian Sausage any flavor

Equipment

  • Baking Sheet
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). It’s important to get your oven nice and hot before placing your Italian sausage inside. This will help achieve that beautiful, golden-brown crust.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. I recommend this step to make cleanup a lot easier, as the Italian sausage can release some grease while cooking.
  3. Arrange the Italian sausage links on the baking sheet. Make sure to leave some space between each link. This allows the heat to circulate properly, ensuring even cooking and that delicious browning.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Let the sausages bake for about 25 to 35 minutes. You’re looking for an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit (70 degrees Celsius) to ensure they are cooked through.
  5. Halfway through the baking time, you can choose to turn the sausages for even browning. However, this step is optional; they will still cook beautifully without flipping.
  6. Once they’re ready, carefully remove the baking sheet from the oven. Be cautious, as the sausages will be hot! Allow them to rest for a few minutes before serving to let the juices redistribute.

Notes

  • Tip 1: Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil, parchment paper, or a silpat to make cleanup easier.
  • Tip 2: Don’t pierce the skin of the sausages before baking, as this allows juices to escape.
  • Tip 3: Lay the sausages out with space between them for better air circulation.
  • Tip 4: Use a kitchen thermometer to ensure the sausages reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
  • Tip 5: You don’t have to turn them halfway through, but it can help with browning.
