Ingredients

  • 120 oz can of pineapple chunks in pineapple juice
  • 1 fresh ripe mango, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 ripe frozen banana
  • 1 cup nonfat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup lite coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • Chef's Knife
  • Blender
  • Peeler

Method

  1. Start by gathering all your ingredients: the pineapple, mango, banana, Greek yogurt, coconut milk, orange juice, and ice. Having everything ready makes the blending process smoother.
  2. In your blender, first add the pineapple chunks along with the juice from the can. This helps create a liquid base for your smoothie.
  3. Next, toss in the chopped mango and the frozen banana. The banana will add creaminess, while the mango brings a delicious flavor.
  4. Now, add the Greek yogurt. This will thicken your smoothie and add a protein boost.
  5. Pour in the lite coconut milk and orange juice. The coconut milk will give a tropical essence, while the orange juice adds a fresh kick.
  6. Finally, add the ice cubes. This will chill the smoothie and give it that refreshing texture.
  7. Secure the lid on your blender and blend on high speed until everything is smooth and well combined. You should see a beautiful creamy mixture with no lumps left.
  8. Once blended, taste your smoothie. If you want it thicker, feel free to add more Greek yogurt or ice. For a thinner consistency, simply add a splash more of the orange juice or coconut milk.
  9. When you're satisfied with the taste and texture, pour the smoothie into glasses. You can garnish with a slice of pineapple or a sprig of mint for an extra touch.
  10. Enjoy your Pineapple Smoothie immediately while it’s cold and refreshing!

Notes

  • Storage: Leftover smoothie can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 24 hours. However, it's best enjoyed fresh.
  • Freezing: If you have leftover smoothie, consider freezing it in ice cube trays. You can blend these cubes into future smoothies for an instant chilled treat!
  • Variations: Feel free to add a handful of spinach or kale for a green smoothie that's packed with nutrients.
  • Sweetness: If you like your smoothie sweeter, consider adding a tablespoon of honey or agave syrup.
  • Protein Boost: For an extra protein kick, add a scoop of your favorite protein powder to the mix.
  • Serving Ideas: This smoothie can also be served as a dessert. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of toasted coconut for a decadent treat!
