Ingredients

  • ½ cup pumpkin puree
  • cup frozen bananas
  • ½ cup pumpkin spice almond milk or plain almond milk
  • ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Equipment

  • Blender

Method

  1. Gather all your ingredients: pumpkin puree, frozen bananas, pumpkin spice almond milk, vanilla Greek yogurt, ice cubes, almond butter, and pumpkin pie spice. Having everything ready makes the process smoother.
  2. In a blender, combine ½ cup pumpkin puree, ⅔ cup frozen bananas, and ½ cup pumpkin spice almond milk. This combination will serve as the base of your smoothie.
  3. Add ½ cup vanilla Greek yogurt to the blender. This will contribute to the creaminess and provide protein.
  4. Next, toss in ½ cup ice cubes. This will make your smoothie nice and chilled, perfect for a refreshing drink.
  5. If you’d like extra richness, add 1 tablespoon almond butter. This is optional, but I highly recommend it for added flavor.
  6. Finally, sprinkle in ½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. This spice is crucial for giving your smoothie that quintessential fall flavor.
  7. Blend all the ingredients on high until smooth. Keep an eye on the texture; it should be creamy and well-combined.
  8. Once blended, taste your smoothie. If you’d like it sweeter, you can add a touch of honey or maple syrup and blend again.
  9. Pour the smoothie into two cups. I love to use clear glasses so that the beautiful orange color is showcased.
  10. Enjoy immediately! You can garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch.

Notes

If you want to make some adjustments, consider these tips:
  • Storage: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours in an airtight container.
  • Freezing: You can freeze your smoothie for a later date.
  • Pairing: Pair with a light salad or toast for a complete meal.
