  • 2 pounds boneless and skinless chicken breasts
  • 16 ounces chunky salsa
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 medium cloves of garlic, minced (optional)

Method
 

  1. Start by placing the boneless and skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of your slow cooker. Ensure they are evenly spread out for optimal cooking.
  2. Next, pour the chunky salsa over the chicken. Make sure it covers the chicken entirely; this will infuse the meat with flavors as it cooks.
  3. Now, add in the balsamic vinegar. This is what makes this dish special! The vinegar will tenderize the chicken and create a delightful sauce.
  4. If you're using garlic, sprinkle the minced garlic on top. This step is optional, but it adds a lovely depth of flavor.
  5. Season with salt to taste. Remember, you can always adjust this after cooking if needed.
  6. Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it on low for 6 hours or high for about 4 hours. During this time, the magic happens! The chicken will absorb all the flavors.
