- Start by gathering all the ingredients. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, seasoned bread crumbs, beaten egg, chopped parsley, minced garlic, soy sauce, garlic salt, and ground black pepper. Using your hands, mix everything together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
- Once mixed, divide the mixture into six equal portions. Take each portion and gently shape it into a round patty, about six inches in diameter. It’s important to keep them uniform in size for even cooking.
- After forming the patties, take the back of a spoon and press down slightly in the center of each one. This little indent helps prevent the patties from puffing up while they cook.
- Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and add a bit of oil if desired. Once the skillet is hot, carefully place the patties in it, making sure not to crowd the pan. Cook each patty for three to five minutes on one side.
- After a few minutes, check the underside of the patties for a golden-brown color before flipping them over. Cook the other side for another three to five minutes, ensuring they reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a couple of minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring a juicy bite!
- While the patties rest, prepare your desired toppings. Slice fresh tomatoes, crisp lettuce, and any other toppings you love. You can also lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet for added flavor.
- Assemble your burgers by placing a cooked patty on each bun and adding your toppings. Feel free to experiment with sauces and extras to make them your own!
- Serve immediately and enjoy the deliciousness of your homemade Turkey Burgers!
