Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • ½ cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 3 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 4 14.5 ounce cans chicken broth full sodium
  • 1 14.5 ounce can vegetable broth
  • 2 cups chopped turkey cooked
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ cups medium egg noodles

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Add celery and carrots and cook until just tender, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Then, add broths, chopped turkey, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, add egg noodles and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Slow Cooker Directions: Just add all the ingredients into the slow cooker, except the noodles. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours. Add the noodles and cook an additional 30 to 40 minutes, or until the noodles are tender.
